I'm a member of a Business Barter Exchange named ITEX.

The 25,000+ ITEX members (online and offline business owners) buy
and sell  goods and services with each other, paying with "barter 
dollars" instead of fiat currency... "green backs."

The exchange allows some of us to almost spin money out of thin
air, using a few principles that I'll explain to you.

One of those principles is "perishables."  That principles
centers around the FACT that if you don't sell some things today, 
you can't sell them tomorrow.

So, it makes sense to offer them to members of your group at a
discount... or  in the case of business barter, for barter dollars.

Perishables include things like hotel and timeshare rooms, limo
services, radio and cable television advertising, newspaper 
and magazine advertising, etc.  

With all of the above, if you don't sell a hotel room tonight,
you can't sell tonight's hotel room tomorrow.  You can't sell a 30 
second radio ad spot today, or a half-page ad in today's newspaper, 
tomorrow.  If you don't sell these things  today they are GONE.  
So, businesses offer these to each other on barter, accepting
barter dollars, and then using those barter dollars for things
that they need in their business and personal lives.

ITEX has 25,000+ members offering almost any type of good or
service imaginable...
charging each other barter dollars for these things. It's like a
semi-secret club!

I personally sell over 60 of my own products, but make MOST of my
barter dollars from two services that I offer.  

I sell my copywriting services, writing or re-writing website
sales copy for  $5k - $20k per job, depending upon the complexity 
of the job. 

I've been writing copy since I was 14 years old and published a 
mail-order newsletter. So, copywriting is almost effortless for me. 
On top of that, I use a somewhat expensive piece of  software to 
speed up my copywriting.  The software basically has some of the 
best swipe files on the planet incorporated in it, and makes my job
fairly easy!

I also rent lead generation websites for $1000 per month, or
$10,000 per year if the ITEX member pays for the year in advance.  
I DO get a steady stream of businesses (ITEX members) taking 
advantage of that offer.

I also sell a lot of digital products on ITEX where my cost of
fulfillment is practically zero.

So, I LOVE ITEX because I effectively get goods and services that
I need in my business and personal life for 10 cents on the dollar.

Non-profits join ITEX and then request donations.  Members give
donations in  the form of ITEX (barter dollars) for many reasons 
including the fact that they want the tax deductions!

Members typically give ITEX barter dollars rather than fiat
currency (dollars) to charities.  The charities then spend these 
barter dollars with our member buying goods and services from our 
members... everything from electronics and appliances to legal 
services and catering and restaurant meals.  

As one of the most active ITEX members, in the largest chapter of
the largest barter organization in North America, I can get you in 
just on my recommendation.

management knows that I'm not going to recommend anyone that I don't 
honestly feel is good for our  organization.
