Should You Listen To Alex Hormozi?

At 66 years of age, and having spent the past 29 years of my life in the world of online marketing, I feel that my B.S. detector is finely tuned.

Being fairly ambitious, I like studying truly successful people... who have done the things that I want to do.

That's one of many reasons that I study people like Warren Buffett.

Another reason that I study Warren is because of his caring nature, and his sincerity! (One of Warren's goals is to give away all of his wealth).

Alex Hormozi is another person that I've studied for a long time, and one of the things that I appreciate most about him is his honesty and sincerity.

If you read any of his books, or watch any of his videos, you'll notice that he shares both his successes AND his failures.

In fact, he often LEADS by telling you of his struggles, failures, and being ripped off in business!

Being nosy, I dug a little into Alex's net worth, and estimates vary—but here's the smart take:

Celebrity Net Worth (celebritynetworth.com) puts Alex Hormozi’s net worth at around $350 million as of January 29, 2025.

Other sources, including SuccessSolver (successsolver.com) and StartupBooted (startupbooted.com), estimate roughly $100 million in 2025.

This difference likely comes down to how each calculates things—some may count retained equity in Acquisition.com, investments, and other assets (including real estate, content earnings, etc.), while others might focus just on liquid cash or business revenue.

In short: the range is roughly $100 million to $350 million, with $350 million being the higher, more inclusive estimate and $100 million likely more conservative or narrow.

Regardless, since I consider Alex as someone who "walks the walk" I read practically everything that he puts out. I own the books in his $100M series.
