How I Used 141 Different Lead Magnets To Generate 141 Niche Lists

Hi ,

I've been in business online since 1996, and I immediately embraced the idea that having your own email list(s) was the most important thing that you can do.

I followed the suggestions of my mentors and eventually built a database of well over 1 million subscribers.

I explained HOW I did that in the audio interview you can download here:
https://1-1.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/1MillionSubscribers.zip

Some of the tactics that I used back then are no longer considered best practices!

However, many of the lessons shared in that interview are still very valuable.

Back then, I also had a private label of the 1ShoppingCart system. As part of purchasing the private label, I was given three accounts, each capped at 400,000 subscribers. That is where I hosted many of my lists.

I no longer have an account at 1SC for many reasons. They made numerous changes since I first purchased that private label back in 2003!

This YouTube video is an interview that I did with the owner of the company that I currently recommend if you anticipate building a LARGE database:

The way that I built most of my lists was by using "lead magnets"... ebooks, videos, audios, cheat sheets, and templates that I offered to subscribers as an ethical bribe to opt in to one of my lists.

I later monetized those lists by selling my own products, affiliate products, and also by doing solo mailings or selling "clicks."

I still use all of the above and sell some customers clicks for as little as 30 cents each.

If you need clicks in the Internet Marketing "Make Money Online" or Network Marketing niches, you can order them here:

You may be wondering how I managed to deploy so many lead magnets. Here's how:

To encourage you to check out Unselfish Marketer, I'll even give you a back door that offers you 50% off the first month. You can claim that here:

Hint: If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page at the URL above, you'll see a link on the left side that says "Preview The Vault." If you click on that link, you can go INSIDE the actual membership area. You can look around, but you must be a registered member to download any of the products.

That is where I've downloaded many of the lead magnets that I use. When using PLR, I ALWAYS edit both the product itself, including its title, and any graphics :-)

I think of PLR as a rough draft, so I largely rewrite it, typically adding About The Author, Legal, and Copyright sections, and also adding links to one of my primary websites.

I also use AI (ChatGPT being my favorite) to create many lead magnets from scratch! It's so easy to ask ChatGPT to give you a list of "X" number of resources with descriptions. This is how I've created at least 20 of the lead magnets that are most often downloaded after being offered on social media :-)

Yes, I've been in business online for 29 years, so it's EASY for me to have 141 lead magnets. However, just joining Unselfish Marketer for a month is plenty of time to download dozens of products that are ideal for lead magnets.

After being a member of Unselfish Marketer, I honestly believe that you'd rather crawl naked across broken glass than give up that membership, and I think you will feel the same!

Anyway, I've just shared one of my favorite list-building methods.

Let me know if you have any questions.

P.S. Here's a bonus tip. After you get the new subscriber by offering the lead magnet, why not offer them an inexpensive product either on the download page or in the download email? That begins conditioning them to expect you to offer for-sale items.
