How To Monetize A Parked Domain...
Published: Wed, 01/01/20
Many of us creative types go on domain name buying sprees when
a seemingly good idea pops into our heads.
At the same time, many of us never follow through on our ideas,
and just let the domain sit, sometimes at a parking service
where we might earn a few pennies
A BETTER idea is to go ahead and develop that domain.
However, if you are going to park it, you may as well place
income earners on the domain name... especially if the domain
was previously owned, is still indexed in the search engines,
and is still getting clicks.
For example, take a look at
https://domaincontroldashboard.com/domains/soulfooddishes-com/
That will probably end up as a satellite site that points to my
main cooking site. I often deploy 10 or more satellite sites
that all funnel traffic back to one central site.
That's FAR cheaper than using pay per click. I can buy an
expired, aged domain name that is already getting traffic for
as little as a dollar, sometimes more, but never more than $10.
Since I pay less than $10 per year for the registration fee, I
can divide that $10 by however many clicks I estimate I'll
receive in a year to that domain name, and that gives you my
cost per click, which is a tiny fraction of a penny. Hosting
cost should also be factored in, but I get LIFETIME hosting
of my domain names for less than $2 per domain name. I'll
explain how I do that in a future article ;-)
The links off on the right side of that landing page could be
anything that I want, and those all happen to all be affiliate
links.
Just adding a little content to that site will boost its search
engine position, and keep the traffic flowing nicely :-)
To create that landing page, which I'll upload to my primary
server shortly, I used a program called Meta Domainer, which
you can read about at: http://WillieLovesMetaDomainer.com
Meta Domainer allows you to control ALL of your websites from
one dashboard... as in make one change in one place and have
that change instantly show up across hundreds or thousands of
sites... if that's what you want :-)
I was a beta tester for Meta Domainer, and I've really grown
attached to it, as in I use it EVERY day.
It's one of those super handy tools, that allows me to do
things like create a landing page or squeeze page or Amazon
store pages in mere minutes... well under a minute for some
types of pages.
Anyway, that page is just a placeholder, because I may just
sell the domain. However it's a placeholder that's monetized
to the max :-)
Check out Meta Domainer now. The video is very eyeopening:
