EFFECTIVELY Dealing With Contact Form Spam...

As a semi-serious domainer, I have over 1000 domains that I
currently have up for sale at fairly low prices.

Most of my domains have a simple landing page, to tells that the
domain is for sale, and asked them to contact me via a form on
the page.

The problem was that every day I'd get literally THOUSANDS of
spam message via email.  Gmail filtered those spam messages
properly, but that doesn't totally eliminate the problem since
every now and then an important email lands in my spam folder.

So, every day I spend a few minutes skimming my spam folder
looking for messages that AREN'T spam.  I've discover messages
from clients and even orders in my spam folder.

Recently, I began changing out the landing pages on all of my For
Sale Sites so that instead of the form, they have two buttons (a
"Make Offer" and a "Buy Now" button).

The Make Offer button routes them through my helpdesk, and the
Buy Now button can send them directly to Paypal if I choose to.

Changing the landing page on over 1000 domains sounds like a
formidable task, but I can crank out a new landing page in under
a minute using software named Meta Domainer.

So, in an hour I can easily crank out 60 new landing pages.  In
the next 2 hours, I can upload the new landing pages to the
appropriate domains via cPanel or FTP, and test them to make sure
that I did things properly.

So, 3 hours to do 60 domains, means that 1000 domains would take
me (or a trusty, competent VA) roughly 51 hours... a little over
3 16-hour days.

To me it's certainly worth putting in the time to resolve my
biggest spam problem.

At the same time, I could have avoided the problem all together
had I built my landing pages using Meta Domainer in the first
place.
