The 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season... And Its Silver Lining?
Published: Wed, 05/20/20
As we rapidly approach the end of May, I'm reminded that the
Atlantic Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1st -
November 30th. We may experience hurricanes outside that
window but they are fairly rare.
I've lived in Florida since 1998, when the Air Force gave me
an assignment here, and when I was ready to retire from the
USAF, I had fallen in love with the Gulf Coast and decided to
stay.
The area is absolutely beautiful and I love hanging out on our
white-sand beaches, and going out fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
I can only think of ONE drawback to the area, and that's that
we are locate right in the middle of what's often referred to
as "Hurricane Alley."
Several MAJOR hurricane have tracked right over my house in
the 22 years that I've lived here. However, we always know
well in advance when a storm is headed our way. In fact, as
much as 2 – 3 week early, we can watch weather systems build
off the northwest coast of Africa, and bases upon the jet streams
and the ocean currents and temperatures, we can fairly
accurately predict the likely path of a storm and when it's
likely to reach us.
So we certainly have plenty of time to plan our evacuation, or
to stock up on emergency supplies. In-fact, NOW is when we
should be checking our emergency generators and food supplies,
and looking at where we might want to evacuate to when the
storms start coming hot and heavy.
The experts HAVE predicted that the storms this year will be
about 140% of the norm... meaning we can expect a busy storm
season.
Several years ago, when I saw a similar pattern, I realized
that a lot of stubborn people, like me, would choose to ride
out most storms rather than evacuate. The problem is that if
you wait to late too evacuate in the path of an approaching
storm, you can get stuck in massive traffic jams out on the
freeway... as the hurricanes barrel through knocking down
trees and power lines... right across the highways.
Back a few years, knowing that many people were going to want
to stock up on supplies AND track the approaching storms, I
decided to create a series of blogs (one named after each of
the storms predicted for that year). On those blogs I
decided to post updates about a given storm... the one that
a particular blog was named after.
I decided to monetize those blogs by placing Google AdSense
code on them. This caused advertisers ads run from the Google
AdWords network to display on my blogs. Google determines
what a particular participating blog is about, and displays relevant
ads... paying the blog or website owner a portion of the
revenue that the advertise pays Google to run the ads.
I had blogs that we earning several hundred dollars per day
just from people visiting a given blog for updates, and then
clicking on ads for disaster preparedness supplies, emergency
generators, information on hotels along the evacuation routes,
etc.
Watching all of that money flood into my bank account just from
me acting as "a content curator" and pulling in updates from a
variety of source, WAS a silver lining to the hurricane clouds :-)
This year, I'm actually going to see if I can repeat what I
did several years ago. So, I've gone out and purchased 21
domain names... that contain the 21 names "the powers that be"
chose for named storms this Atlantic Hurricane Season.
I added the word updates, plus the .com TLD (extension) to
the hurricane name, and so I now own:

I know, you're thinking, "Man That's A LOT Of Websites!"
What if I told you that I'm what's commonly referred to as a
"domainer".... someone who buys and sells domain name. I
current have an INSANE inventory of several thousand domain
names.
I buy domain names and then turn around and sell most of them
with or without a site on them. I also rank some of my domain
names as high as I can in the search engines, and then I RENT
those out to brick-and-mortar business owners for lead generation.
If I can rank a domain name at the top of Google for a given
keyword phrase then I AM going to get the majority of the clicks
(organic traffic) for that keyword. Rank #1 in Google for a
keyword and you'll likely get around 80% of the clicks, rank #2
and you'll get around 12% of the clicks, #3 will get around 5% of
the clicks, and everyone else gets the scraps!
The numbers vary slightly, depending upon who you listen to,
but the fact IS that the top three positions get MOST of the
free traffic.
In case you're wondering I DO teach people how to rank and then
rent websites. I'm teaching the 3rd of 6 weekly sessions on
the topic tomorrow night, Thursday, May 21st, for 8-9pm Eastern.
You can read all about my training at
===>>> https://RankRentRetire.com <<<===
I chose that domain name because after doing VERY well with
rank and rent website, I decide (when I turned 61 last March) to
semi-retire and enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I'll still buy and sell domain names, and still rank and rent
websites, but I don't plan on working very hard at it. I'll just
spread the word about domain names that I have for sale via
websites set up for that purpose. There is a ton of them.
I also have a page where I list some of the domain names that I
currently have for sale. To see which domain names I am offering
... domain names that I did extensive research on before buying
them... that is I researched the niche and the keywords, geographic
locations, etc., before buying them... visit:

or use this shorter link which takes you to the same place:

On that page, you can look over a list of domain names that I have
for sale, and when you see one that interests you, just send me an
email (to the email address on the page). In the email, tell me
which domain(s) your are interested in and what price you are offering
to pay.
Yes, I running a "name your own price sale." You offer me whatever
you are willing to pay for a given name, and I get back to you with
either a yes or a no. If a yes, I'll also tell you how to proceed so
that you have possession of that domain name in mere MINUTES.
I've been buying and selling domain names since 2009, so I know how
to choose high value domain names, and I know how to make things happen
FAST as far as getting a domain name to you.
Go ahead and take a look now.

OH, you'll notice that I even have my hurricane-related domain names
listed on that page. YES, I am willing to sell even those... if the price
is right :-)
Also NOTE that even though my rank and rent training workshops
have already started, you CAN still join. You just need to go through
the recording from the previous weeks in order to catch up!
