I recently stepped a client through  the process of growing
an email list. We went from setting him up with an  Aweber
autoresponder account, using one of their countless designs, 
to offering a lead magnet from that page, to putting 1100+ 
subscribers in his autoresponder... in just 15 days.

The autoresponder was configured to redirect the new 
subscribers to a download page which he had on his site.
Had he not had his own website, I would probably have asked
him to sign up for a free account and use GroovePages.

I also talked him into flowing out and writing a series of
10 followup emails. I had him alternate content emails
with blatant pitch emails.  He could have made them all
pitch emails as long as some of them mixed in a little
content (teaching, entertaining, inspiring, etc.).  

While I enjoy helping this client, I did NOT do it for 
free.  He required too much hand-holding for me to do 
that... and I also felt that he needed to “have some skin
in the game."

So, I charged him $500, which we felt was VERY reasonable.
$500 divided by 1100 subscribers means that they only costed
him 45 cents each.  Many solo ad sellers charge TWICE that
much for raw top-tier CLICKS.  I didn't just send him clicks, 
I sent him SUBSCRIBERS.

Since this was my first time doing this, I didn't even
have a way to track his actual subscriber count.  I guess 
I could have had him put a tracking pixel on his download
page, but being a retired soldier, I've learned to trust
people.   

I also have a policy of not taking on clients if I for any
reason I feel even slightly uneasy about them.  I've learned to 
trust my intuition or gut feeling.

It was a fun little experiment, and since I taught my
client to offer an inexpensive item for sale right on
the download page, AND in a confirmation email, he ended
up earning MORE than I charged AS we were built his
list.  So, he in essence ended up getting the list for
free, AND even making a profit :-)

Anyway, I've decided to offer to build similar lists for a 
maximum of 10 new clients. The list needs to be in the biz-op, 
internet marketing, work from home or network marketing 
niches.  That's because there are a LOT of people who don't
want to go back to their old jobs as things start to gradually 
open back up in many places.

So, there are a lot of people looking to start their own
business in the niches that I mentioned.  

We would basically set up your lead capture system (squeeze
page), your autoresponders, and your download page. I would 
then use email, and ads placed across a vast network of web 
properties that I have access to, and we would send the traffic 
generated directly to YOUR  autoresponder.

YOU would be responsible for telling ME when you have
reached 1000 subscribers, and at that point I would stop
sending you new  subscribers, UNLESS you decided to 
purchase additional subscribers... and I'd probably charge the 
same price per 1000.

I honestly don't know how long it would take to send you those
1000 subscribers... it would to an extent depend upon how enticing 
your lead magnet is.
